Gang Prevention and Intervention
One of the local organizations we are partnering with is Frontline Street Intervention. Their goal is to inspire and instill within the youth a desire to fulfill their potential in life with a sense of dignity, honor, respect and destiny. Through partnering with parents, ex-gang members, mentors, community-based organizations of mutual purpose, police departments and probation officers we will accomplish the task before us. Frontline offers prevention and intervention services to schools and other community based organizations that struggle with gangs, drugs and other criminal activity.

Ricky is the President of Frontline Street Intervention. A keynote Speaker, Gang Prevention/Intervention Specialist, Ordained Minister and jail chaplain. Ricky joined a gang at the age of 15 as a way to gain respect. He started robbing and stealing and was given the name “Bandit”. It was a name he thought he could live up too. He began abusing drugs and alcohol. Soon after he dropped out of high school, because he didn’t want to be a doctor or a lawyer anyway. He just wanted to be a gangster. He quickly found himself in trouble with the law and ended up in prison 4 times as an adult, where he became a leader of his gang. During his last prison sentence Ricky began reading the Bible and gave his life to Christ.
After leaving prison in 1999, Ricky met Rev. John Hernandez of Gang Outreach (Waukegan Il.) and he began sharing his story with area youth. In 2001 Ricky started a branch of Gang Outreach in his own neighborhood. In 2007 Ricky founded Frontline Street Intervention, a not-for-profit organization, serving the Chicagoland area. In 2008 he became an ordained minister which has allowed him to speak in jails and prison.
Ricky has a passion to see lives changed. He is married to Melissa and has 4 children.
